Basically you have either a fixed mount with minimum or no tilting or swiveling at all, you can have a tilting mount that gives you some tilting room of up to 15 degrees, and you also have a full swivel mount that allows you a nice rotation of your TV for best viewing angle possible. Of course the latter will cost you the most as well.
Hiding the cables
When you have a TV on the wall, the last thing you want to have is lots of cables dangling from the back of your TV. There are several ways to hide the cabling either by installing molding to hide away your wires, or by installing a wall plate which enables the actual connectors to go through the wall so you have a fully clean look away from any clutter. Maybe your best option is using HDMI cables that are so popular nowadays.
The location of the TV on the wall
It is important that the television is placed so that its center will be slightly above eye level for best viewing experience. If you have speakers, you also need to leave some free place for them to be mounted next to your TV.
